About this site
publicspeakinggroups.com, a comparison of public speaking clubs, meetups and online practice groups, is run by the site and nobody else decides on its data. For anything about your data, email privacy@publicspeakinggroups.com.
The data we collect
There are no forms here and no accounts. The page reports a handful of anonymous events: a page view, how far you scrolled, and a tap on an app button together with where that button sat. Each event includes the address of the page, the site that sent you, any campaign tags in the link, your browser's language, your operating system and a random code saved in your browser. We use your IP address only to guess an approximate place, and we do not store it whole.
Where it goes
Events travel first to a small endpoint on this site and from there to an analytics provider that keeps data on servers in the European Union. We look at the totals to improve the page. We never sell the data or pass it to advertisers.
Browser storage
This site uses no cookies. It saves one random visitor code and one session code in your browser; the session code is replaced after half an hour without activity. Deleting the site's data in your browser removes both. If you block scripts, the page still works and nothing is recorded.
App buttons
Buttons that mention the Confidently app lead to /join on this site. That address looks at your browser's user agent: Android visitors go to Google Play, everyone else to the App Store, and the button's position is handed to Google Play as a referrer. Nothing about you is saved along the way. From the store onward, Apple's or Google's privacy terms and the app's own apply.
Deleting your data
Write to the address above and we will remove the events linked to your random code. Because that code does not identify you, clearing this site's storage is the simplest way to start over.
